Our implementation groups are getting down to work
Lakenheath's seven Pride in Place implementation groups are turning community ideas into project lists, costings and plans.
Since the Neighbourhood Board set them up in September, our seven Pride in Place implementation groups have been busy. They are: Children and Young People; Environment, Energy and Technology; Economic Development, Employment, Skills and Education; Community Assets and Groups; Health, Wellbeing, Leisure and Active Travel; Heritage, Arts and Tourism; and Match Funding.
Each group is drawing up a list of projects for Lakenheath, based on what residents told us and the evidence gathered so far. The next step is to put an indicative cost against each idea. West Suffolk Council officers are helping with data, and the lists will go to them to help firm up the costings. Well done to the Heritage, Arts and Tourism group, who have already produced a full costed list.
All of this feeds into the investment plan. The first headline list of projects covers the next four years and is due in November. We’ll add more detail as projects are worked up over the ten years of the programme.
You don’t need to be an expert to take part, just interested in the future of the village. Email info@lpip.uk or use our contact page and tell us which group you’d like to join.
